responsibilities
  • Day-to-day scheduling of Subcontractor’s work force.
  • Responsible for maintaining day-to-day working relationship with Owner representatives.
  • Maintain project log and fill out daily reports to be turned into the Project Manager weekly.
  • Review and assist the Project Manager in the development of the Project Schedule, prior to start of actual construction.
  • Set-up and maintenance of construction yard and offices.
  • Review of forming methods to be utilized by Subcontractor on concrete work.
  • Review and verify Subcontractor Time Tickets on possible change order times.
  • Determine tools and equipment required for the Project.
  • Ensure that all field issue purchase orders are issued accordingly.
  • Daily scheduling, coordination and inspection of testing agencies with construction work.
  • Maintain field office filing system and drawing control.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring Project Safety Program, including active involvement in the Hazardous Material Program.
  • Ensure that Project Safety Meetings are held weekly. Involve Foreman in this process.
  • Ensure that all jobsite accidents are properly reported to the project and company safety representatives and the Risk and Insurance Manager on the same day that they occur.
  • Conduct walk-thru with OSHA and insurance carrier representatives.
  • Arrange, coordinate and attend required inspections by Building Department Official(s).
  • Fill out time cards for all Marnell Companies’ field employees and turn them into the Finance Department each Monday.
  • Union relations with Local Business Agents.
  • Verify and notify Project Manager of material received at jobsite.
  • Keep Project manager informed of potential change orders due to field conditions and/or requests by Owner representative at job sites.
  • Assist Project Manager with project closeout.
  • Responsible for the behavior and attitudes of all subordinates under your supervision during normal working hours.
  • Responsible for communication on day-to-day basis with both Project Manager and Project Architect to insure the activities of the day are discussed.
  • Other duties may be assigned, if deemed necessary, by the Company.

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills with ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be able to handle confrontational situations.
  • Must be able to work on Remote or Out of Town Projects as required.
  • Familiarity with legal terms.
  • Must be a team player with ability to work in a group or independently (self-starter, results-oriented).
  • Detail-oriented,able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
