  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope-of-work and required contents of estimate.
  • Attend pre-bid conferences, as required.
  • With the input of the project team, develop a bid list for each estimate/bid. Also, be responsible for contacting the potential bidders.
  • Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete take-offs of project scope.
  • Provide conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.
  • Ensure that all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
  • Assemble and prepare bid information for final approval by the Director of Construction and/or the President of Construction.
  • Assist Project Managers during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids, as required.

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills with ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be able to handle confrontational situations.
  • Detail-oriented,able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project and Outlook and beproficient in CADD.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
